About Divine Konnections
A true story of resilience, faith  & hope.

Divine Konnections Inc. (DKI) is led by Deyona Kirk, a BIPOC woman who is dedicated to transforming the lives of BIPOC youth and young adults through affordable housing and comprehensive support. Through her experiences and growth she has grown DKI to provide the support lacking for so many in our world. DKI's mission is to create a model of community care that encourages those who have been helped, to give back, fostering a cycle of service and support.

OUR PROGRAMS

Group Residential Housing: Annie’s House of Refuge & Restoration provides safe and stable housing for young BIPOC mothers (ages 18-24) and their children in Duluth, MN. Our program supports mothers who are pregnant, in the process of reunification, or have children 2 years old or younger. We offer comprehensive wraparound support and culturally centered care to help these families transition from homelessness to stability.

Family and Youth Homeless Prevention Program: Our Housing Stabilization and Aftercare Services support moms transitioning from Annie’s House and provide financial assistance and resources for other BIPOC families in the community through in- home visiting support. We offer advocacy, access to Black-specific resources, culturally specific healing spaces, parenting and life skills classes, and holistic interventions to foster stability and well-being.

Recovery Support: Our recovery support services are person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, relationship-focused, and voluntary. We provide encouragement, advocacy, goal planning, resource connection, emotional support, and skill building to help individuals on their recovery journey.

OUR APPROACH

  • Person-Centered Care: We meet directly with participants to identify barriers, assets, and goals, fostering autonomy and support.

  • Comprehensive Support: We provide housing, connect participants to health and recovery services, offer education and employment support, and provide child/respite care.

  • Community Building: We offer programming related to BIPOC healing, budgeting, homeownership, parenting, and life skills, and provide opportunities for participants to mentor others.
